Little Corgis Pre-School

Your daughter’s first school experience in the heart of London.

Stay and Play: A joyful first step into the Queen’s journey

Our free of charge Stay & Play sessions offer families a delightful introduction to life at Queen’s College Preparatory School and a first glimpse into our new Little Corgis Pre-School: the beginning of an educational pathway for your daughter that can lead all the way to Queen’s College at 11+, recognised by the Spear’s Schools Index 2026 as one of top 100 independent schools in the world.

Held on Friday mornings, these relaxed and friendly sessions invite parents and carers to join their daughters (from 18 months to age five) for an hour of themed play in our vibrant Early Years environment in Portland Place. It’s the perfect chance to meet our outstanding Early Years teachers, explore our thoughtfully designed learning spaces, and connect with other local families while your daughter builds confidence, makes early friendships and has fun!

Each session is free of charge, run by our dedicated early years staff, and includes a cosy story time followed by a range of hands‑on activity stations that spark curiosity, creativity and confidence.

Every week brings something new to discover – you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you like!

About Queen's College Preparatory School

Queen's is a remarkable community with an extraordinary history, for girls aged 3-18.

Since 2002, Queen's College Preparatory School (QCPS) has occupied beautiful buildings on Portland Place, in the heart of central London. Pre-School girls enjoy direct access to a free-flow play area, and exploration and discovery are an integral part of their learning.

Queen's girls are bold, curious, and resilient.  They are ready to embrace challenges and lead with confidence.  Our values of collaboration, creativity, courage, compassion and curiosity guide our behaviour every day and ensure the girls thrive personally and academically.

From the Prep, many of the girls move onto Queen's College, London - the Queen's 11-18 school - in Harley Street which was founded in 1848 and awarded a Royal Charter by Queen Victoria in 1853. It became the first school in the UK to award academic qualifications to women.

Queen's College is academically ambitious and pastorally led. We're proud of our inspiring alumnae, including some of the pioneering female doctors, lawyers, diplomats, teachers, journalists and scientists who helped open up these careers to women in this country for the first time. Building on this long and distinguished history, QCPS is an inspirational and empowering school, which is proud to remain right at the forefront of education for girls.
